Project Background

The Buckinghamshire Assisted Living Labs centre, based in Aylesbury, is a place where assisted living technology is being exhibited, researched and developed for educational and commercial purposes.

This environment also supports an extended range of assisted living courses for patients, carers, health care professionals, commissioners and commercial companies.

Our living lab process will:

  • bring users into the creative process at an early stage, in order to discover new, emerging
  • behaviours and user patterns;
  • bridge the innovation gap between technology development and the uptake of new products
  • and services;
  • allow for early assessment of the socio-economic implications of new technological solutions by demonstrating the validity of innovative services and business models

We also provide a wide range of training courses on assisted living for patients, carers, health care professionals, commissioners and commercial companies.
